PACE - the 1st Parameterized Algorithms and Computational Experiments Challenge 

Three Travel Awards of 500 € each are available to help young researchers attend IPEC 2016. Apply by e-mailing a CV and a motivation letter by 20 July to Frances.Rosamond@uib.no (University of Bergen), Chair of the Steering Committee. To be eligible one must:

• submit a working implementation in one of the PACE challenges
• be a full-time student (undergraduate or graduate level, excluding PhD students)
• commit to attending IPEC 2016 in case one receives the travel award

Competition prizes

Track A offers four ranked challenges: Exact sequential, Exact parallel, Heuristic sequential, and Heuristic parallel computation of Treewidth. For each ranked challenge, there will be a first, second, and third prize. Track B offers one ranked challenge and there will be altogether three prizes for Feedback Vertex Set.
