IBO2015 Travel information


We will arrange pick ups for the IBO delegations on Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July at

  • Aarhus Airport,
  • Billund Airport, and
  • Aarhus Railway Station

Arriving by plane

  • Aarhus Airport (AAR) is located in Tirstrup, approx. 40 kilometres northeast of Aarhus.
    • IBO representatives will meet you at the airport 11 or 12 July.
  • Billund Airport (BLL) is located 100 kilometres south of Aarhus.
    • IBO representatives will meet you at the airport 11 or 12 July.
  • Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is located in Kastrup.
    • Domestic and international flights all arrive at and depart from Terminal 2 or 3.
    • There are direct connections from the airport to Copenhagen city centre by train or metro (approx. 30 minutes).
    • You can take a direct train from Copenhagen Airport to Aarhus. The duration of the journey is approx. 3 hours.
    • The train station and metro station is located in Terminal 3.

Arriving by train

The train from Copenhagen to Aarhus operates on an hourly basis. The travelling time is approx. 3 hours.

  • IBO representatives will meet you at Aarhus Railway Station 11 or 12 July.

  • Type in your "From" station - e.g. "Copenhagen Airport" or "København H" (Copenhagen Central Train Station).  
  • Type in your "To" station: "Aarhus H" (Aarhus Railway Station)
