Members of the organising committee come from the research group Behaviour and stress biology at the Department of Animal Science. This research group conducts research in animal behaviour, stress biology and animal welfare of domesticated animals including production animals as well as companion and therapy animals. Research areas include behavioural needs, environmental and genetic effects on behaviour and physiology, automatic recording and surveillance of behaviour and quantification of animals’ emotional states.  The research is applied to develop sustainable production systems aiming to ensure animal welfare and productivity, and is the base of teaching as well as advice for authorities.
