OECD and the Danish primary school

Conference at The Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, in Copenhagen 4 October 2018.

OECD plays an important role in educational policy and educational practice. OECD is in a process of re-labelling its activities in the direction of stronger emphasis on teaching excellence, reduction of social inequality, deep learning, student agency, empowering of teachers etc. The aim of the conference is to throw light on OECD’s ongoing research and development projects within education and on the recommendations that come from the organization. The focus of the conference is on student learning and teacher capacity. Three questions will guide the presentations and discussions during the day:

  • How can OECD-research support educational policy and practice?
  • How can schools, teacher education, organizations and research use research and recommendations from OECD?
  • How is OECD information used in national education policy and practice?

The conference apply to management of departments for children and youth, school principals, teachers, organizations (DLF, BUPL, Skolelederforeningen), educational scholars and others with interest in international school research.
