As 2018 marks the tenth anniversary of the establishing of the China-Denmark Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Aarhus University and Danish Institute of International Studies will in collaboration with other Danish research institutions on China host a one-day event to take stock of the major developments in China’s domestic and international environments, and discuss their implications for Denmark. The focus will be on the broad concept of China’s rise in the specific spheres of global politics, security, business and culture and situate it within the context of social, economic and political developments in China.
A broad range of China expertise will initiate multi-disciplinary dialogues on the nature of China’s emergence as a global power and its implications for Denmark, taking into consideration business opportunities, cultural encounters and political challenges.
The Brunch dialogue focuses on China experts and Danish businesses operating in China or in relation to the Chinese market as well as business facilitators. This activity is open by invitation only.
The Afternoon seminar focuses on China’s rise and the implications for Denmark’s collaboration with China from an academic point of view. The seminar is open for academics, students, politicians, civil servants and the general public interested in Chinese contemporary affairs and Sino-Danish relations.
