You may need a short-term visa in order to travel to Denmark and attend the conference. You can read more about how to apply for a short term visa at the Danish immigration authorities website. Please be aware that the visa processing may be quite lengthy. We therefore advise you to start the application process as soon as possible.

When applying for a visa to Denmark, you may need a letter of invitation from us. In that case, a special form VU3 is to be used. In order to obtain an invitation from us, you must follow these steps:

1. Download the invitation form
2. Fill out your personal details in sections 3, 4, 5 and 6
3. Send the filled out form by e-mail to environment2013@au.dk Please remember to specifiy the e-mail address of your local Danish representation where your visa application will be processed. Please note: The form must be sent from an e-mail address that corresponds with the applicant's name and/or affiliation.

In case you have had an abstract accepted for the conference, we will send the signed invitation form by e-mail to you and your country’s Danish representation within 2-3 working days, if you have registered and paid the registration fee. In case of a failed visa application, your registration fee will be refunded.

If you are not an accepted author of the conference, you need to include relevant documentation of your affiliation with a scientific institution or a proven academic record within the fields of environmental science before we can consider issuing a signed invitation.
