Things to Do in Aarhus

The center of Aarhus is small and can easily be visited by walking. We recommend a walk around the cathedral (“Store Torv”), the canal (“Aaboulevarden”), and the Latin Quarter.

The Moesgaard Museum of Anthropology is one of the most visited attractions in Denmark, and definitely worth a visit. It features state-of-the-art ethnographic exhibitions developed in collaboration with the Anthropology Dept. of Aarhus University. It can be reached by bus nr. 18 from the railway station or Nobelparken (travel takes around 30 minutes). It is located south of town, beside the Moesgaard forest and close to the sea. There are walkable paths from the museum throughout the park and the forest, and the museum café has excellent food: http://www.moesgaardmuseum.dk/en/

The Aros museum of Contemporary Art (walking distance from the railway station and your hotel) is also worth a visit if you have time: https://www.aros.dk/en/
