Welcome to NYSCO 2022, the 6th meeting of Nordic Young Scientists in Oral Research that will take place at Fuglsøcentret in Mols Bjerge National Park Denmark 7-9 September 2022.

NYSCO brings together young dental scientist from the Nordic and Baltic countries to present and discuss their research activities in oral sciences as well as to create research networks and collaborations. NYSCO 2022 follows the successful meeting in Lillehammer, Norway (2009), Elsinore, Denmark (2011), Malmö, Sweden (2014), Tuusula, Finland (2016), and Oslo, Norway (2019).

A Two-Tiered Enterprise

Working in oral science can be construed as a two-tiered enterprise, with one tier comprising typically rather unique topic-specifics, while the other tier is more generic comprising the more general aspects of aligning study design and analysis, and writing up the research report (typically a scientific article).

In this workshop, we will address the more generic tier of doing oral science and oral science reporting, since these issues concern the oral scientific audience at large, and must be addressed by anyone working on oral science problems.

Workshops and Networking

The scientific program of NYSCO 2022 will consist of two workshops carried out by well-known researchers within Dentistry and Biostatistics. Additionally, young dental researchers will be given the opportunity to work with and discuss their own research with peers. We will have social events and promote networking between the young researchers in oral science from the Nordic and Baltic countries.

We look forward to an interesting meeting.
