Conference to be held in Copenhagen at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University 4 October 2018.
The OECD plays an important role in shaping educational policy and educational practice. The OECD is currently in the process of relabelling its activities, placing greater emphasis on issues such as teaching excellence, the reduction of social inequality, deep learning, student agency, empowering teachers. The aim of this conference is to highlight the OECD’s ongoing research and development projects within education and the recommendations the organization publishes. The focus of the conference is on student learning and teacher capacity. Three questions will guide the presentations and discussions during the day:
The conference is relevant for those working with the management of municipal departments for children and youth, school principals, teachers, organizations for educational professionals (DLF, BUPL, Skolelederforeningen), educational scholars and others interested in international research on schools.
