The SSCIP 2025 conference is committed to providing a safe, open and welcoming environment. All conference participants - including peer reviewers, presenters, attendees, and members of the organising and programme committees - contribute to creating and maintaining a spirit of inclusivity. 

We expect all participants to maintain a considerate and professional demeanor at all times, including in all conference-related processes and communications, whether in person or online. Our goal is to create a harassment-free environment where everyone, regardless of their background or identity, feels safe, respected, and included. We expect participants to

• Be considerate and respectful of all cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
• Be collaborative and endeavor to resolve misunderstandings directly, through open dialogue and respectful feedback.
• Gracefully offer and accept constructive feedback.
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
• Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.

We have zero tolerance for any kind of  harassment, intimidation, or discrimination. All actions or behaviors intended to exclude, intimidate, or cause discomfort are a violation of our Code of Conduct, including:

• offensive communication related to age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, language, race, religion or belief, political opinion
• inappropriate use of sexual images in public spaces
• deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording
• sustained disruption of talks or other conference activities
• inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention 

Any participant engaged in unacceptable behaviour will be immediately asked to stop and removed from the conference. If you are subject to or witness harassment, intimidation, or discrimination, or have any other concerns, please contact sscip2025@au.dk or speak with a conference organiser, they will be introduced at the beginning of the event. If you believe or see anyone is in physical danger, please notify conference organizers immediately.

Registration and attendance at the conference is conditional upon acceptance of the Code of Conduct and any breach of it will lead to immediate and final withdrawal of your registration without a refund.
