Conference Party at Godsbanen

This year’s conference party takes place on October 20th at Godsbanen in Aarhus city centre. Godsbanen is a unique cultural center with workshops, exhibitions, a theatre, and Spiselauget restaurant for Nordic cuisine and social dining.

Godsbanen was an old freight train station that became a cultural and creative powerhouse for the city’s citizens back in 2012. The building has hosted various social and cultural events such as concerts, exhibitions, performances, workshops, and markets. There is theatre Katapult, wood print and metal workshops, practice rooms, and many more facilities.

It gets ‘Rå’

The conference party will take place in Godsbanens ‘Rå hal’ (Raw Hall). The autumn weather will affect the venue's temperature, since the hall is not heated to reduce emissions. Warm places are located inside Godsbanen. We encourage guests to wear sensible shoes and dress appropriately for this setting. Every delegate has two complimentary drink vouchers, which you receive at registration. Additional drinks can be purchased at the venue.

We will serve a rich assortment of Nordic tapas created and curated by Spiselauget. The menu combines local flavors and ingredients with an international flair of social dining, sustainable farming, and a vegetarian focus. The decorations and set up of the party were developed and put into place by our event assistants and volunteers, using local and seasonal materials.

Getting to the venue

We arranged a bus transfer for the conference party. Between 19:15-20:00, multiple buses will pick up ECREA participants from Wilhelm Meyers Allé in front of Søauditorier (South Lake) and drive them to Godsbanen. Buses leave every few minutes between, so please be patient. Your next bus is just around the corner.

The conference party is included in the registration fee.
