The Protestantism Network in collaboration with Department of Philosophy and History of Ideas, School of Culture and Society, Aarhus University.
The Protestantism Network is an interdisciplinary research network spanning several institutions. Its main purposes are to examine and track influences from Protestantism in contemporary thought and to explore the intellectual potential of protestant thought in contemporary cultural analysis. One important Protestant legacy is the picture of human existence as a tension between opposites, ultimately between finitude and infinity, and thus to understand existence as becoming. At the same time Protestantism is also concerned with the idea of formation and how this is reflected in both the individual and in society and its institutions. The Protestantism Network involves international junior and senior researchers and is funded by The Danish Council for Independent Research.
