Panels and Papers

General guidelines

The conference is a face-to-face event.

In selecting proposals for the conference, our scientific committee will give preference to those proposals that address the conference theme in one or more of its different topics.

We particularly encourage proposals that foster gender–equality and diversity, including researchers with various institutional affiliations, at diverse stages of their professional careers, with different geographical origins, and from underrepresented groups.

Participants may chair more than one panel and speak or comment in one panel and chair another. They may, however, present a paper or comment in a panel only once, unless they are plenary lecturers or prize-winners.

We call for Panels and for Papers

Papers:

We invite proposals for standalone papers. Proposals should include title and abstract (max 100 words) of the paper and, if possible, an indication of which conference sub-theme (gender, masculinity, subjecthood, etc.) the paper might relate to.

The deadline for sending proposals for papers is 19. January 2025 and you will be informed whether your proposal has been accepted soon after. Please send your proposals to ISIH2025@cas.au.dk

Panels:

A Panel comprises at least 3 papers and is 90-minutes (including comments).

The organizer will chair the panel or may propose a chair, who may not be a speaker in the Panel, as well as a commentator, upon request.

Proposals should include Title of Panel and description of its topic (max 300 words) as well as title and abstract (max 100 words) of each paper in the proposed panel.

To ensure coherency and cross-paper dialogue in the sessions we encourage that you try to organise panels when possible.
