Abstract submission (for both talks and posters) and registration take place through the TIBS portal. TIBS members get a discount on registration fees. If you are not yet a member, you can join here. As a member, you will stay updated on deadlines and other developments related to the conference.
When submitting your abstract, indicate if you wish it to be a talk or a poster. If you select both, the abstract will first be considered for a talk, but if not selected, it will be considered a poster. The number of talk slots is limited, so only one talk per presenter (first author) is allowed. If your abstract is selected for a talk, please register by the Early Bird deadline. Otherwise your presentation is converted to a poster (if you chose that option) or dropped from the program.
Contributed talks will be presented in five concurrent sessions. Each talk will have a slot of 15 min (presentation 12 min, discussion + change of speaker 3 min).
There will be two dedicated poster sessions. We aim to have posters on display throughout the conference. Because of the great interest in this meeting, we are working to accommodate more posters. Posters should be in A0 portrait format.
The conference venue has limited space, so attendance will be restricted to a maximum of 400 participants.
A number of workshops are offered on the first day of the conference (Tuesday 6 January). More information on each workshop is provided behind the Workshops button below.
If you are an early-career researcher from the Global South, you can apply for the Maria Sibylla Merian 'Frontiers of Biogeography' student travel award to cover participation costs.
Doctoral students with accepted talks or posters and who will be traveling to the conference from outside Denmark, can apply for the Vicki Funk Memorial 'Current Zoology' award to help towards their participation costs.
