Children at the conference
ECREA 2022 welcomes attendees who are coming with their children. While we unfortunately cannot offer childcare services during the conference, we have prepared a few resources for attendees of all ages to enjoy their time in Aarhus. There will be also two quieter areas on the campus where parents are welcome to spend time with their children (East and West). Our website now has a couple of resources and suggestions for what you can do with children in Aarhus.
Multiple activities for children can be accessed nearby the ECREA 2022 venue which is located on Aarhus University’s campus surrounding the University Park. Discover what Aarhus offers for children on campus, around campus, and further away.
Some of the attractions and activities are paid while others are free. ECREA 2022 offers a special discount on entrance fees to ARoS Art Museum, The Old Town Museum (Den Gamle By), and Tivoli Friheden amusement park. Find more details about the special discounts on our Explore Aarhus page.
The listed playgrounds below are all free to use and open to the public. These are within walking distance from the conference or can be accessed by bus lines. See below a map of suggested playgrounds and find further information on how to get around in Aarhus.
ECREA 2022 takes place during a public holiday week in Denmark, which may have an influence on the number of visitors to the city and tourist attractions. Please check the relevant opening and closing times of attractions and reserve tickets well before your visit to ensure access.
