EWEG/2D is hosted by Aarhus University and follows the principles of the Aarhus University and Faculty of Natural Sciences Code of Conduct.
Aarhus University is committed to providing a safe, professional, and respectful environment based on mutual trust, where diversity and inclusion are valued, and where everyone is treated with courtesy and respect. AU does not accept bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, violence, discrimination, or other offensive behaviour. The Faculty of Natural Sciences Code of Conduct further emphasizes that the faculty should be free from abusive, intimidating, humiliating, or demeaning behaviour.
This Code of Conduct applies to all participants in EWEG-2D, including speakers, attendees, organizers, sponsors, staff, and guests. It applies during all workshop activities, including scientific sessions, poster sessions, discussions, breaks, meals, excursions, social events, and workshop-related online communication.

Participants asked to stop inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Photography, recording, and sharing of scientific content
Participants who wish to photograph or record speakers, poster presenters, or other participants should ask for permission first.
Participants may share general impressions from the workshop and scientific discussions in a respectful manner. However, requests from speakers or presenters not to share specific slides, unpublished results, images, or other material must be respected.

Concerns will be handled with discretion and respect for the people involved. AU guidance states that everyone at the university has a responsibility to help prevent offensive behaviour, and that people who experience or witness such behaviour are entitled to support and guidance.
If a participant witnesses bullying, harassment, or aggression, they may support the affected person and, where appropriate, encourage them to contact the designated workshop contact persons. However, it is for the affected person to decide whether they wish to report the matter.
Consequences
The organizers may take appropriate action in response to violations of this Code of Conduct. This may include a private conversation, a warning, removal from a session or activity, exclusion from the workshop without refund, or referral to the relevant Aarhus University unit or other appropriate authority.
Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern, supports someone raising a concern, or participates in the handling of a concern will not be tolerated. False and malicious misuse of this Code of Conduct to damage another person’s reputation is also unacceptable.
