The National Optics Congress 2026 brings together students, researchers, and industry professionals working across optics and photonics in Denmark.
The congress provides a national forum for presenting current research, exchanging ideas across subfields, and strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and early-career scientists. The program will include invited talks, contributed oral presentations, poster sessions, and an industrial exhibition.
The event is organized by the Danish Optical Society (DOPS) and hosted at Aarhus University.
The scientific program is currently under development and will be announced closer to the event.
It will feature:
Invited speakers from academia and industry
Contributed oral and poster presentations
Networking and exhibition sessions integrated with the scientific program
Participants are invited to submit abstracts for poster and/or oral presentation.

Please indicate in your submission whether you wish to be considered for a poster presentation, an oral presentation, or both.
Registration is open for:
BSc and MSc students
PhD students
Academic and industrial participants
Members of DOPS receive a registration discount. Reduced-fee and fully sponsored participation options are available for student members enrolled at Danish universities.
Registration closes on 31 March 2026 or when capacity is reached.
BSc and MSc student members enrolled at Danish universities are offered:
Free conference participation
Free meals during the conference
Free transport from Copenhagen or Odense
Free accommodation
These options can be selected during registration. Practical details will be communicated directly to registered participants ahead of the event.
An industrial exhibition will be co-located with catering and networking areas to ensure high visibility.
Exhibitor fee: 7,000 DKK
Includes booth space and advertising
Conference tickets are not included and must be registered separately
