Aarhus railway station is one of the most important railway junctions in Denmark. There are hourly departures to the north, south, east and west. Aarhus has hourly services to and from Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport. From Aarhus trains depart to Southern and Central Europe, the connections are via Hamburg/Flensburg. Travel time from Hamburg to Aarhus is approximately five hours. There are several daily connections to Sweden, Germany and the rest of Europe.

If you arrive by plane at Copenhagen airport you can buy a train ticket to Aarhus railway station at the DSB Ticket Sales booth in Terminal 3 just above the moving sidewalk, which leads you down to the platform, where trains depart.
Trains bound for Aarhus railway station leave Copenhagen Airport hourly, a one-way ticket (including seat reservation) is priced at around 500 DKK.
Aarhus can be reached by bus from multiple locations in Europe through the bus company Flixbus. From all airports in Denmark busses depart for Aarhus railway station either through local bus companies, Kombardo or Flixbus. Bus tickets must be bought online and are often at cheaper prices than train tickets.
