Domenico Parisi got a BA in philosophy at the University of Rome, a MA in psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana, and a PhD in psychology at the University of Rome. He has taught in various Italian Universities and at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, he does research at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies, National Research Council, Rome, where he constructs simulated robots that must progressively do everything that human beings do. Most of this work is described in his book “Future Robots. Towards a Robotic Science of Human Beings” (Amsterdam, Benjamins, 2014; a Chinese translation of the book has been recently published in China).
