Boat tour and whale spotting

On Wednesday, 20 May at 2:30 PM, we invite conference participants for a 1.5-hour sailing trip departing from Snoghøj Dock – just a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

As we cruise through the narrow strait near Middelfartyou will enjoy the calm of the sea, the stunning coastal scenery, and the unique atmosphere of this natural area. Lillebælt is one of the very best places in the world to observe harbour porpoises (the “little whales”) up close. Few places offer such a high concentration of porpoises, and sightings are extremely common in these waters.

Keep your eyes on the surface — you may spot a porpoise breaking the water with its characteristic blow, or perhaps even a curious seal keeping an eye on us.

Please make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothes and practical footwear on the trip.

If you are not up for a boat trip, please let us know by Monday 20th April. And when you do please indicate if you would rather go bridgewalking on the Old Little Belt Bridge. We are able to sign up a few people for this walk, which will depart from Middelfart, on the opposite side of the straight.
