The opening lecture Monday afternoon 16.30-18.00 will present a theoretical approach to the terms influence, use, and reception with a specific focus on the influence, use, and reception of Origen in the Western tradition.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 9.00-10.00 the main lectures will introduce the themes of the day.
In the morning sessions (10.20-11.20 and 11.30-12.30) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there will be lecture sessions with two parallel lectures at the same time. These lectures will be on specific elements of the theme of the day. There will thus be 4 slots for lectures each of these three days. Please consider if you want to give one of these lectures.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon there will be paper and workshop sessions from 14.00-15.00, 15.20-16.20, and 16.40-17.40. In each paper session there will be two papers (20 min presentation + 10 min. discussion). In each workshop session there will be one theme which can be treated in different ways according to what the leader of the workshop suggests. Workshops can be extended to two hours, if necessary. It is preferred that the workshops and papers are on the theme of the conference, but it will also be possible to have sessions on other themes. There will be as many parallel workshop and paper sessions as are necessary. Please consider if you want to present a paper or direct a workshop.
Friday morning 10.20-11.20 there will be a concluding discussion about the future of Origen studies.
The final session of the conference will be on Friday morning 11.30-12.30. In this session the conference will be evaluated, and the theme and place of the next conference will be discussed.
In the evenings and on Wednesday afternoon there will be different social and cultural activities where we hope to present some nice aspects of Aarhus to you.
