Frank Hillebrandt is professor of general sociology and social theory at the FernUniversität (Open University), Hagen, Germany. Geir Afdal is professor of philosophy of religious education at the Norwegian School of Theology, Oslo, Norway. Among his research interests are practices in a pedagogical context, as well as religious practices, especially with regard to the relation between practice and learning. Claire E. Wolfteich is associate professor of practical theology and spirituality studies at Boston University, School of Theology, and also co-director for the Center for Practical Theology. Her research interests include theology and practice, Christian spirituality, and religion and public life. Among her recent publications is Invitation to Practical Theology: Catholic Voices and Visions (2014, Paulist Press), as well as several articles addressing the topic of practice in relation to practical theology and spirituality studies.
