ARPES & XPS

ARPES & XPS workshop

Sunday 26th August , 10:00-16:00, €50 (Lunch and coffee included)

Location: Auditorium G2 - Building 1532, Room 122, Aarhus University
Map showing the location of Auditorium G1

The workshop is aimed for young scientist but also for experienced researchers interested in advances in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The tutorials are structured as follows:

Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (Dr. Eli Rotenberg)

- basis of the technique

- spectral function and many-body effects

- recent advances in spatially-resolved ARPES

Time- and angle-resolved ARPES (Dr. Isabella Gierz)

- ARPES with ultrafast lasers

- femtosecond electron dynamics

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (Dr. Jan Knudsen)

- acquisition and analysis of core level data

- developments in ambient pressure XPS

X-ray photoelectron diffraction (Dr. Luca Bignardi)

- XPD measurements and analysis

- Applications of the technique to 2D materials
