Lucinda Doyle

Prof. Lucinda Elizabeth Doyle is an electromicrobiologist interested in the electrical connections that exist between microorganisms and their surroundings. She received her B.Sc. (Hons) in Biotechnology from Dublin City University, Ireland, and completed both her Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience at the Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

Her research group focuses on the enrichment of novel electroactive microorganisms, the characterisation of extracellular electron transfer under various environmental conditions, and the development of bioelectrochemical devices for power generation and biosensing. Prof. Doyle is particularly interested in both the fundamental characterisation and practical applications of weak electricigens.
