In 1956, the Lutheran World Federation was instrumental in establishing the first International Lutheran Congress.

In 2026, the current President of the Lutheran World Federation, together with the Bishops of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark, cordially invites all participants to a reception in Viborg Tuesday evening, including a visit to the beautiful cathedral in Viborg, where the famous frescoes by Joakim Skovgaard from the 19th century fill the church with biblical motifs.

Viborg is about 1 hour's drive from Aarhus.

Buses leave Aarhus University at 17:45.
