FAQ

FAQ

Q: When and where is the conference?

A: Gastronomy in Transition will be held from 29 September to 1 October 2026, primary at Ndr. Ringgade  4, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark. The specific venues and instructions on how to get there will be included in the conference schedule, sent out to registered participants prior to the conference. On the evening of 28th of Sept there will be a social event for early registration.

Q: Is the conference on-site only or hybrid?

A: The conference is on-site only, as physical presence allows for a close-knit collaboration and continuing development and maturing of ideas.

Q: What is the difference between the contributions that I can propose to make?

A: “The Slice” is a 7-minute presentation of a topic in relation to the table and your research/work

“The AmuseBouche” is a short introduction to a topic in relation to the table and your research/work followed by a question for discussion at the table.

While the slice is a concise version of a classic presentation, the amuse-bouche shifts the focus, so the time is mainly spent engaging in a discussion around the table, developing ideas and thoughts together on a topic.

“The Attentive” is about listening and engaging, without presenting.
