Animal Stress Responses

A hot topic for us all. Animal stress responses contribute to our understanding of the keeping of animals.

However, how to measure valid stress responses? Exciting novel and advances to existing methods will be presented, including studies into heart rate, HPA axis responses, normal vs. abnormal behaviour, rest and developmental changes.

Further, presenters apply animal stress response in the evaluation of how animals fare in response to different breeding, housing, management and handling conditions.

At ISAE2017, one key-note presentation, 13 spoken papers and 22 poster presentations cover a wide range of stress responses and animal species, e.g. cats, cows, dogs, mink, pigs, sheep, quails and hens – kept by humans. Pick and select, as to avoid conference stress!
