While NordiCHI offers hybrid participation, it will first and foremost be a physical event and virtual participation should be seen as an option if physical participation is impossible due to covid-related circumstances.
We strongly encourage physical participation and live and in-person presentations. For those not able to travel to Aarhus, virtual participation and presentation of papers are possible. The conference program will be scheduled during the daytime in the local time zone (CET). Should unforeseen developments require a change in conference format, attendees will be informed and we will do our utmost to make this conference a great experience for all. More details on the format will follow.
More specifically, we aim to support three types of presentations and will find software and hardware solutions accordingly:
Note: Irrespective of the presentation type, we expect the presenter to be available for live questions and discussion afterward.
We will use Zoom for virtual participation. Physical presentations will automatically be streamed to the Zoom room of the session without the presenters having to run Zoom on their computer.
Virtual participation is not possible in the demo and poster session.
Hybrid participation in the pre-conference programme will be at the discretion of the respective organisers of workshops, doctoral consortium, and tutorials. The conference do not provide equipment in the form of microphones, cameras, etc. Per request, we can setup a Zoom meeting for a workshop or tutorial.
Participation in the social programme of the conference will only be possible in-person.
