The EST has a project to improve multilingual coverage of Translation Studies content on Wikipedia through editing and translation of articles. A formal Wikiproject has been set up on Wikipedia for this purpose. We would like to offer the opportunity to Aarhus congress participants to learn more about how to get started editing Wikipedia and to participate in this project. Participation is completely open, and anybody who is interested can take part as much or as little as they like.
The project is led by Carol O'Sullivan, Esther Torres and David Orrego Carmona. Esther Torres will lead an introductory session at 5pm on 14 September, following the pre-conference PhD workshop. Carol O'Sullivan and Esther Torres will be available during the conference for questions and consultations. We will also be available at intervals for drop-in consultations at the Wikipedia table in the exhibition hall. More information about the Editathon can be found here, and about Wikiproject Translation Studies here.
Anybody interested in participating in the Editathon is invited to add their name to the Meetup List or email carol.osullivan@bristol.ac.uk. Deadline for registering is Monday, 12 September.
