15 September: Reception at the Aula of Aarhus University, the ambulatory, and Museum of Ancient Art
The welcome reception, hosted by the City of Aarhus and Aarhus University, takes place on Thursday, 15 September between 18.30 - 20.00, and all participants are welcome. Enjoy a special evening at the Aula of Aarhus University and the Museum of Ancient Art located in the middle of the beautiful University Park. The museum takes visitors on a cultural journey through ancient Mediterranean history and houses a great collection of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian treasures. Admire presents offered to the Greek gods, ancient drinking bowls, an Egyptian mummy, and several plaster cast reproductions of some of the most famous sculptures from the ancient world.
Afterwards, take a stroll through the University Park to get a sense of more recent historical events. Right outside the museum, you will find a bullet hole in the railings, serving as a sombre reminder of the central role played by Aarhus University in the Second World War.
16 September: Conference dinner in a vibrant cultural environment
The conference dinner takes place on Friday evening at another unique location in Aarhus, Godsbanen - a vibrant centre of art and culture. Godsbanen opened in 2012 and is located in beautifully restored buildings which used to house freight trains. Enjoy an excellent dinner in spacious and unique surroundings and soak up the atmosphere of one of Aarhus’ most dynamic cultural environments.
The conference dinner is prepared by Spiselauget who offers simple and delicious food inspired by the season and based on local produce and the creativity of the chefs. All dishes on the rustic and down-to-earth menu are prepared with lots of love and good karma.

17 September: Lunch on Wheels
Saturday, lunch is provided at the Lakeside Lecture Theatres. You receive a Brown Bag Deluxe that you can grab. Hop on a bus and enjoy your lunch during a 45-minute (English) guided tour around Aarhus. The bus leaves 12:15 outside the Theatres and will be back in due time for attending the session starting at 13:30.
